Once upon a time .....
there was a happy village. It was self sustained and didn't depend on other villages. People did what they liked, and it was well balanced. Few guys good at learning and understanding started learning vedas and doing rituals. They lived near the temple, which was at the heart of the village. Other guys strong and courageous said they would protect the village and rule the village , as they could keep the discipline and punish the criminals. They lived near the temple with their castle which had the gold which belongs to the village. Another group said they are good at business and lived near the market which is also at the heart of the village (near the castle). Remaining people said they will do remaining requirements like laundry, leather works etc.,laundry said they wants to live near the river outside the village , leather works need animal flesh and its not good for health so they lived outside the village .
All got married and were happy families with wives in their houses taking care of the family ,while husband earned the resources.
Children grew up, by that time the groups kept their own names ; those learning vedas and performing rituals called themselves brahmanas , protectors called themselves kshatriya , businessmen called themselves vaisyas and the rest were called sudras.
Sudras children felt brahmanas work was easier than theirs and asked their fathers "can we do that job, instead of this?" , but the fathers knew the consequences and promptly said "no!, we are good at this, we will continue this".They were afraid the balance would be lost. Hearing this the brahmana students became proud, they started feeling that their work is superior than to that of the rest. Though their fathers never felt like that. These grew up and another generation started ..
The sudras didn't stop their fight, brahmanas felt the threat and stopped talking to sudras. They didn't allow sudras to come to their place ,near the temples. kshatriyas and vaisyas also supported brahmanas as they were neighbors. Hatred started between the sudras and brahmanas. Kshatriya started punishing the haters.
The next generation came, brahmanas felt that their fathers have unnecessarily complicated the issue. They solved the problem, sudras should not dare to look or face brahmanas . They have to bow and respect the brahmanas and other groups. By this time brahmanas were intelligent, kshatriyas were stronger and vaisyas were richer, though there were no such differences few generations back.Sudras didn't had any such power, so they were not given enough respect they deserve. Kshtriyas were succesful in maintaining the peace.
The village remained 'happy village' , though sudras were not happy. It didn't made big difference as the visitors would see only these three groups. Kshatriyas named these groups as castes for better ruling.Generations passed , and the village still was a happy village. This new generation didn't had any hatred. Everyone believed in dharma and felt following it itself is their dharma. Dharma was to do their duty and respect the 'higher' and were happy.
Unfortunately happy days are always in hurry , other villages heared about this village. They wondered how could these people be so happy and how could they be so rich. They didn't understood the secret. Many started attacking but were sent back as the kshtriyas were stronger , brahmins were wise and they helped in stratagies , sudras made good armours and vaisyas helped in the resources required. It was unity that helped.Still a set of other village could penetrate and started living with these happy people. Our villagers accepted them and started living together again.
One day a cunning villager from other village happened to come to the village. Our villagers happily invited the guests and treated them well.He stayed there for few days and observed everything. He went back to their village and told everything about this village. He said the village cannot be conquered easily ,but can be easily conquered if we brake their backbone ...their unity, religion and caste system.Plan was ready .THey executed it well and were succesful.
They sent few men to their village as a fare, these money showed the people interesting goods and their products. Then started braking the unity of the kshtriyas, they approached each and said that he is the fittest to be the king.Kshtriyas easily fell in the trap. They didn't listen to the brahmins.when kshtriyas were not active in ruling the village, the aliens approached the sudras.Sudras were surprised to see them talking to them , no visitor have ever talked to them. This new people told them to take their religion and in their religion sudras were equal to brahmins.Few followed them and few rejected. But the alien was successful, sudras started thinking as his grand grand parents thought once. So, they asked the brahmins about this, brahmins were already angry with the visitor and didn't like sudras to follow them.Brahmins didn't respect sudras and now started to hate them and humiliated them.vaisyas and kshtriyas too joined .Then everyone woke up esp. kshtriyas ..just to see the visitor already started ruling them. All united again to fight the alien..let us call this alien the 'white'.
All united and fought against the whites. It was difficult to fight ,many lost their lives. One old man came forward and said not to fight ,but just stop helping the white. White people came to know that their village was in war and they need to go as this village is no more a help to them.During this fight few generations passed and the white have taught them some new ways of lives and everyone forgot the caste system. They need to reframe it.One guy in the sudras took the opportunity and said let one generation of lower caste be treated with more interest so that all will become equal in knowledge and power.Let there be priority for them so that the next generation don't know that there existed a difference. All agreed and the new way of life started.few more generations passed ,everyone forgot what that guy told. few of sudras had education and few of the other caste(who used to have earlier) didn't had education. It was balanced again . There formed two categories within the so called 'lower castes'.Lets call them first and second, first : those who are developed equally with the higher castes and the second: those who are still in their earlier state.
The priority given were enjoyed by the first category and the second category felt they still needed more time. Out of this new system made in hurry , few foolish people started to get good places in the castle. They felt they need the support of the second category and started claiming more priority for them , they don't understand the first set of people are going to enjoy the priority. The foolish people came to a stage that they say school in the village be closed unless the 'lower caste' are made to enter it , even if they have not passed their courses in the earlier year. They blindly say " the ratio of students in the class room should be equal to that of the population of the village.
If you believe that all humans have equal intelligence and hardwork, let them compete with the students who believed to be more intelligent and prove it. If you say ..no, our ancestors didn't had any education , we need priority to improve ourselves , then you don't deserve the equality to be given.
Thankgod they didn't ask the priority in defending the village. That fools who sit in the castle don't respect the feelings of the people in the village, there are few so called 'lower caste' children who feel they don't need the priority. The second category don't understand that they are not going to gain anything .They blindly believe the fool.
I have antivirus software protecting my computer from virus, I feel this village needs such anti'fool' software to protect itself from ruining to death.
